Safety First
If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.

Turn off your Boiler to prevent pipe damage from repeated water hammer

Check the Boiler system pressure to ensure it is not too high
3
Verify the Boiler expansion tank is properly charged and not waterlogged
4
Drain and refill the Boiler system to remove trapped air that may cause hammer
