Follow these emergency steps in order. If at any point you feel unsafe, evacuate and call for help immediately.
Safety First
If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.
Turn off your Boiler at the thermostat and wait 5 minutes for the system to reset
Check the Boiler control board for flashing error codes and document them
Verify the Boiler air filter is clean and airflow is not restricted
Check all Boiler safety switches including pressure and limit switches
Call for professional Boiler service if the lockout condition persists after reset
