Follow these emergency steps in order. If at any point you feel unsafe, evacuate and call for help immediately.
Safety First
If you smell gas, suspect carbon monoxide, or see sparks, evacuate immediately and call 911. Do not attempt to operate your system if you suspect a safety issue.
Check the Boiler pressure gauge to confirm the pressure reading
Look for visible leaks in the Boiler system that may be causing pressure loss
Verify the Boiler automatic water feeder if equipped is turned on
Add water to the Boiler system using the manual fill valve if pressure is too low
Call for Boiler service if pressure continues to drop after refilling
